Summary: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director - Fund Accounting / PERE will be an integral part of the team's success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Alternative Funds, SPVs, Holding Companies and GP entities, delivery to clients, assist and develop the members of the department.
  • Manage the Fund Accounting / PERE department including training and professional development
  • Develop and maintain client confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering stakeholder value
  • Review and understand fund legal documents to ensure proper application of accounting and reporting obligations
  • Deliver a high level of service and immediate response time to all client and service providers queries
  • Manage client-specific requests and define projects to develop processes to improve the product offering
  • Review and calculate the Net Asset Value as required by the fund documents and/or manager
  • Review and prepare waterfall calculations and liaise with Investor Services team in relation to capital transactions, including calls, subscriptions, transfers, redemptions and distributions
  • Review and prepare the annual financial statements, supporting information relating to the year-end audit
  • Meet all internal and external deliverables
  • Build a good relationship with the stakeholders of the clients' entities
  • Participate in special projects within the group including quality control and process improvements
  • Represent the department on external and internal working groups and committees

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years' previous industry experience, with a solid understanding of accounting for Luxembourg Alternative Funds, SPVs, Holding Companies, Securitzation Vehicles and GP entities.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven managerial experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of current reporting standards, including but not limited to LUX GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP.
  • Analytical thinking and able to challenge work. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, and industry standard fund accounting software (e.g. InvestTran, InvestOne, eFront or equivalent).

Education:
  • University degree in Accounting or Economics is required.
  • An internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent), is required.
  • Good English level and writing skills; other languages, French, German, would be an asset.
