YOUR CHALLENGE

Being part of Treasury Asia team, the dealer will be managing BJB SG balance sheet, adhering to Regulator and Head Office Risk Framework and servicing the front in our Treasury product offerings. Participate in Treasury initiatives to support business expansion. Management of BJB HK balance sheet on adhoc/covering basis.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Core Responsibilities
  • Capital & Liquidity Management to adhere to MAS & HKMA requirements
  • Manage BJB SG & HK balance sheet according to Regulators and Head office risk metrics and limits.
  • Proactively manage the balance sheet to optimize profitability through various market tools such as interbank borrowing & lending/FX Swaps/Repo/Fixed Income
  • Actively monitor and source for HQLA to satisfy local regulatory requirements
  • Provide research, share market knowledge and ideas with the rest of the Treasury members/ centres
  • Provide end of day summary to Treasury team heads and members to ensure all regulatory ratios and risk limits are being adhered to.
  • Administrative responsibility to ensure smooth functioning of the desk such as timely approval of loans/deposits orders, loading of rates, prompt booking/execution of interbank deals etc.

Project & Business Management
  • Lead and drive internal workshops to deliver Global Treasury initiatives
  • Participate in local projects to support branch wide initiatives
  • Analyse, improve & automate Treasury processes and system to enhance operational efficiency. Work closely with stakeholders like Finance, IT and Operations to identify, resolve outstanding bugs or defects
  • Documentation of Treasury requirements, business gaps and specifications to technology dept. Preparation and execution of test strategy, test scenarios and test cases. Co-ordination of User Acceptance Testing for Treasury
  • Produce regular status report and metric on projects progress
  • Business continuity planning and documentation
  • Update and maintenance of procedure manuals and process maps
  • Preparation of ALCO related documents/minutes
  • Data extraction and collation of Treasury inputs for timely submission by the bank for regular/ ad hoc regulatory surveys in SG/HK

Client Management (internal & external)
  • Managing and servicing the front office in Treasury product offering which includes Deposits/ Loans and Fiduciary Placements
  • Provide training to Assistant Relationship Managers periodically to update on products and services offered
  • Foster good relationship with external market participants to widen accessibility of liquidity/services for Treasury dealing

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Adhere to all MAS/HKMA regulations. Comply with Head office risk metrics and limits

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Personal and Social
  • Very good interpersonal & communication skills to relate to internal & external clients

Professional and Technical
  • Relevant knowledge with at least 8 years of working experience in global financial markets
  • Effective workload prioritization

  • Familiar with legal & regulatory environment locally & globally
  • Sound Business development and project skills
  • Possess good judgement, analytical, assessing risk & able to work under pressure
  • IT/system knowledge (TEMENOS T24, Murex, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MS Office, Programming skills)
  • Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
  • Proficient with Excel formulas, Pivot Table

Regulatory
  • Financial Markets Regulatory Practices (FMRP)
  • Knowledge of MAS/HKMA regulations
