The SAS team sits within CBA's Regional and Agribusiness Banking team and specifically works with the Bank's largest pre and post farm gate clients. We provide tailored solutions to clients with complex borrowing requirements including trade and commodity finance, M&A, global markets, sustainable finance, and syndicated debt. SAS is a fast moving and growing team with a diverse mix of experience. We put the customer first by taking the time to understand and see their business whilst applying a standard of excellence to all tasks.
Do Work That Matters
Due to continued success our team is experiencing rapid and sustainable growth, resulting in a rare opportunity to join our Sydney team playing a pivotal role in the relationship team. The opportunity is a dynamic role that will provide extensive access to a diverse range of corporate and institutional agribusiness clients. Along with supporting growth of our existing clients you will support the execution and onboarding of new to bank clients.
More specifically, you will:
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with clients and team members in the structuring of new banking facilities and the management of existing ones.
- Develop appropriate client relationships and strategies to successfully grow a high-value portfolio of clients
- Work closely with product and risk specialists on idea and solution development.
- Manage the operational aspects of the client's day-to-day banking requirements.
- Prepare concise and well-reasoned credit reports, annual reviews, monitor covenant compliance, assist with KYC / onboarding and general client correspondence.
- Utilise your expertise navigating internal banking systems, processes, and policies to assist across a broad range of applications.
- Play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of information on source systems.
- Travel to regional Australia to understand the client's business and banking requirements. Drivers licence essential.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills
- Knowledge and / or interest around agriculture and / or commodity markets.
- Demonstrated experience working within a commercial or corporate banking environment.
- An understanding of financial statement analysis, and experience with writing credit applications.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting would be viewed favourably.
- Experience using internal bank systems plus sound policy and procedure knowledge would be viewed favourably.
