The Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join their dynamic audit team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile clients across a range of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing, and more. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end audit process, leading teams, and delivering high-quality audits in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading Audits: Oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and on time.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, and providing insights on business and financial issues.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth within the firm.
- Financial Reporting: Review financial statements and ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting frameworks.
- Business Development: Assist with the identification of new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the firm's audit practice.
- Quality Control: Ensure the firm's audit methodology and risk management policies are adhered to and lead by example in maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
- ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with strong technical knowledge of auditing, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Previous experience in audit management within a practice environment, ideally with exposure to large and complex clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Experience in managing and developing teams, with a hands-on approach to coaching and mentoring.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and client-focused approach, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
