We're seeking someone to join our team in Senior Indirect Tax Accountant (Reviewer)

T he successful candidate joins a development project building systems for high-frequency and low-latency trading systems in real-time.

The trading platform works across various asset classes inclusive of Equities, Options, Futures, and FX. The team is responsible for the full software life cycle of these systems. We work closely with our business partners in sales and trading, risk management, compliance, operations, research, and other technology teams at Morgan Stanley.

What you'll do in the role: #BPACC
  • Review Morgan Stanley's indirect tax returns and become the focal point of assigned countries in EMEA/APAC/JAPAN jurisdictions
  • Oversee tax return preparation, support and guide junior team members
  • Perform detailed reviews of indirect tax returns and relating balance sheet and expense reconciliations.
  • Improve the automation and standardization of various processes.
  • Contribute to projects, support tax audits and work closely with key contacts across locations.
  • Develop practical knowledge of the Firm's business and understand how your role fits into it.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field and min 5 year of experience preferably in the area of indirect tax compliance
  • People management experience is an advantage
  • Sound numeric skills and accuracy.
  • Deep organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple issues and under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Fluency in English
  • Professional accounting or tax adviser qualification/studying (ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent) is an advantage
