WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Compensation Analyst evaluates and analyzes commission data for accuracy and completeness. The person in this position is responsible for calculating compensation and incentive award payments of sales and eligible support associates based on compensation plan and incentive program provisions. This position performs activities needed for the implementation, calculation, tracking and reporting for commission and incentive programs, plans and policies.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
$85,000.00 - $103,000.00
The Compensation Analyst evaluates and analyzes commission data for accuracy and completeness. The person in this position is responsible for calculating compensation and incentive award payments of sales and eligible support associates based on compensation plan and incentive program provisions. This position performs activities needed for the implementation, calculation, tracking and reporting for commission and incentive programs, plans and policies.
A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
- Calculates commission/incentive award payments for production and eligible support associates based on commission and incentive plan provisions.
- Runs and analyzes commission reporting from various sources, validates data and researches all exceptions.
- Leads support activities needed for the implementation, communication and administration of sales commission or incentive programs, plans and policies.
- Reviews commission payment reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyzes sales performance results, prepares commission statements, presentations and recommendations for sales and/or finance management.
- Uses spreadsheets, internal systems or dedicated computer programs to gather data for payment calculation or analysis.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of commission payments as outlined in the plan.
- Resolves reconciliation issues related to commission data and/or compensation payouts.
- Contributes to the development or improvement of systems to effectively track or capture data.
- Performs cost and/or trend analysis or modeling of alternative commission/incentive plan design or quota levels.
- Assists in other accounting or financial projects as communicated by the manager. May consist of data management, information gathering, operational or financial analysis, etc.
- Partners with Sales & Finance Leadership in the development and/or redesign of commission plans.
- Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Knowledgeable of US regulatory pay requirements.
- 3+ years' experience in financial or data analysis, sales compensation and commissions calculations is preferable.
- Experience using AMS 360, Salesforce, or related software a plus.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Requires consistent attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving, relationship management and critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meetings and deadlines.
- Ability to lead and train others on various accounting related concepts, programs and tools.
- Ability to consistently meet strict deadlines, prioritize, and multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.

- Ability to work independently and on a team.
