About Business line/Function:

Financial Shared Services (FSS) Platform is responsible for production and reporting activities which are delivered to onshore teams focused on fronting activities. It also provides offshore support to nearshore teams, thus fostering standardization and transformation. It is split into three verticals i.e., APAC Regional FSS, Head Office FSS and WorldWide FSS.

Finance Solution Office is a function within Finance Shared Services which consists of Project Management and Migration testing support services for migration of the Legacy General Ledgers to the Target General Ledger (OFS).

Position Purpose

This position is for a manager role Data Quality team. An Individual will be responsible for leading team of Data Quality analysts for Americas region.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders and consumers at all levels of the organization, across LOBs and functions, and across all regions, to drive data quality Issues / solutions
  • Perform detailed data analysis on large data sets across all Financial & Referential Data domains (party, instrument, account, finance ref data, Financial Instruments etc.)
  • Conduct analysis on known data quality issues and define operational and/or technical solutions for remediation
  • Interact with technology and operations teams to drive changes and remediate issues - ensure requirements and procedures are understood and are implemented as per specification
  • Work with stakeholders to analyze and understand business requirements and review/produce documentation with a focus on data management governance and data quality control implementation
  • Knowledge of General ledger data (like journal entries), Accounting and Finance data.
  • Understanding of Bank's Financial Statements
  • Analysis of Financial data. Work closely with Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Understanding on financial products like Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Derivatives & the Accounting part for the same.
  • Create KPI and decks for management reporting
  • SQL knowledge will be added advantage.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical -

1. Experience in the field of Accounting and / or Accounting systems and implementation in financial service industry

2. Strong Microsoft software Office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint )

3. Knowledge/experience of: General ledger, Referential systems, Abinitio, BI tools

4. People management skills to be able to manage a team.

5. Ref Data domain experience (client, instrument, pricing etc.) would be an added advantage.

6. Demonstrate ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with team members

Behavioral -

1. Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional relationship building and influencing skills

2. Positive attitude and desire to work in a team-based collaborative environment

Specific Qualifications (if required)

1. MBA in Finance, Bachelor's Degree in Finance

2. Former experiences within a Finance function in Banking and Financial Services

3. Experience must include Business Analysis and Functional recon and controls.
