Job Description:
- The Institutional Advisor is responsible for asset management and investment consulting services for institutional clients with sophisticated investment accounts.
- The role involves consultation with institutional boards and committees on investment policies and objectives, discretionary management of client portfolios, and monitoring compliance with client policies.
- It includes participation in sales and marketing efforts, preparation and presentation of quarterly client investment reviews and reports, and assistance to client boards, committees, and staff as needed.
- The position requires considerable client and prospect contact and may involve supervision of other staff members.

Essential Duties:
- Portfolio Management: Manage multi-asset class investment portfolios and consult on investment policies and objectives.
- Tactical Asset Allocation: Implement recommendations within client policy guidelines.
- Performance Analysis: Ensure adherence to investment policies by analyzing managers, strategies, portfolios, securities, and asset allocation.
- Client Support: Assist client boards, committees, and staff; communicate account activity, investment performance, and market trends.
- Leadership: Serve on committees and special project groups; supervise certain investment management staff.
- Strategy Development: Assist in setting investment strategy and reviewing/creating investment policy and procedures.
Skills:
- Investment Expertise: Advanced knowledge of multi-asset class portfolio construction, securities and investment products.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive reports and presentations.
- Sales and Marketing: Experience in the sales process and closing business.
- Statistical Reporting: Proficiency in investment-related statistical reporting and performance measurement.
- Leadership and Supervision: Demonstrated leadership and human resource management abilities.
- Technical Skills: Excellent PC skills and familiarity with investment and database systems.
- Professional Integrity: A highly motivated individual with a strong ethical compass.
- Analytical Skills: Thorough and accurate in reviewing and presenting information.
