Equity Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of companies within the Manufacturing and Industrials sectors, covering financial, operational, and market-driven factors.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, relative valuation, and sensitivity analysis, to evaluate companies and provide recommendations.
• Monitor industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory changes that could impact sector performance.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, including investment theses, earnings previews, and company updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in earnings calls, management meetings, and site visits to gather insights and stay updated on business operations.
• Collaborate with the portfolio management team to support sector-related investment strategies and generate actionable ideas.
• Communicate key insights and recommendations effectively through presentations, written reports, and client discussions.

Requirements:

• CFA Charterholder; candidates pursuing Level III may also be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred); a master’s in finance or MBA is an added advantage.
• 1-4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, or a similar role within the Manufacturing and Industrials sectors.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in valuation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet), and relevant analytical tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Indian Manufacturing and Industrial sectors and a network within the industry.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging trends such as automation, energy efficiency, and digital transformation in manufacturing.
