The Opportunity

As an Undergraduate Accountant, you will be be mentored by experienced Partners to help you grow as a professional and kick-start your career as an Accountant. The 2025 Undergraduate Program will include the following:
  • Starting in a group of your peers with a dedicated training day and company-wide event in your first week
  • Ongoing virtual and in-person training sessions with experienced Partners to teach core skills
  • Online training resources to support your learning and development
  • Dedicated communication channels to connect with your peers

We have roles available in offices throughout the Hunter Region, allowing you to work close to home while remaining connected to the wider Kelly+Partners community.

Please note that no prior experience is required for this program.

About You
  • Currently enrolled in an Accounting or HR degree (or related discipline)
  • Willing to work part-time (3 days minimum) or full-time throughout your studies
  • Intending to pursue a Chartered Accountant qualification after graduation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Committed to providing exceptional service to our clients
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic

Position Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
  • Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
  • Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
