The position of Senior Financial Analyst combines two financial aspects: General Ledger (GL) accounting and Reconciliation (Corporate reporting).
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and posting GL entries based on reports from sub-ledgers
- Reviewing payments and posting related entries
- Clearing open items in Accounts Payable and Receivable, data analysis of detected discrepancies
- Timely execution of month-end-close activities. Performing financial reporting and reconciliation tasks
- Preparing and reviewing tailored investment reports Daily liaison with other functions within Citi and business partners (Finance, Global Fee Billing team, Fiduciary Services, Trust Officers, external vendor)
- Preparing & reviewing supporting documentation for internal & external audit purposes
- Dealing with ad-hoc and outstanding queries, resolving complex accounting and reporting
- Implementation of process enhancements and task management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in GL accounting or audit / financial reporting is a must - minimum 3 years
- Previous experience in supervising process and task management - minimum 1 year
- Good understanding of GL and data reconciliation process
- Relevant knowledge and seniority required
- Demonstrated leadership, project management skills
- Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
- Excellent written and oral English
- Excellent MS Excel skills & analytical mindset. Good communication & time-management skills
- Proactiveness & multitasking skills • University Degree - preferable in Finance, Accounting, Tax or Economy
