Job Description
How will I help?
This role is part of the Group Reporting and Analytics team (GR&A) Finance team.
As part of the GR&A Regulatory Reporting team, you will be working with a diverse group of regulatory and statutory reporting professionals to deliver strong financial and regulatory control through the uplift of policies, processes and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve target outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
The role will be a unique opportunity to be part of high-profile initiatives and projects across multiple business units that aim to meet the strategic goals of the business and the group. One of these projects is the Technology Simplification Program (UNITE) which will transform Westpac through the delivery of business and technology initiatives to improve the experience for our customers and people and to simplifying the bank. You will also gain experience in meeting and managing regulatory and executive stakeholder requirements. Your audience and stakeholders will be broad and diverse, giving you an unrivalled profile and the platform from which to build your career.

Some of your responsibilities would include:
- You will be a dynamic team member who has great communication skills
- Good commercial acumen and business knowledge in financial services
- Business Partnering with various Business Units across the Westpac Group to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, such as Line of Business, Product Finance teams, Treasury etc
- Able to present financial and regulatory data in a clear, simple way that reflects key business value drivers and draws out key insights and actions.
- Prepare regulatory returns and detailed information packs and analyses to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of regulatory reporting for the Westpac Group
- Contribute to on-going efficiency improvements by helping streamline activities and enhancing insights
- Support Regulatory Reporting in change forums and initiatives within a complex change agenda with multiple competing priorities
- Support a robust control framework, including the enhancement of the regulatory reporting policies, frameworks and guidelines and ensuring appropriate controls are designed and operating effectively

What do I need?
- Background in Finance or Accounting studies (CA/CPA qualified preferred)
- 5+ years relevant experience in financial services (preferably banking)
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts
- Competent in reporting, analytics and presentation to stakeholders
- Good understanding of business performance drivers
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office suite
