About the Financial Advisory Service Line

Our Financial Advisory delivery model includes the entire transaction life-cycle enabling engagement opportunities throughout the lifetime of a deal. It includes originating and providing corporate finance advice as a lead financial advisor on M&A transactions, providing valuations services on a range of transactional matters, due diligence advice to help our clients identify risks associated with deals and offer solutions that can help to mitigate such risks, act as an independent financial adviser on IPOs as well as on a range of other corporate transactions including, financial modelling, fundraising and debt advisory/restructuring.

Within Financial Advisory, we have a strong valuation capability that supports both external, third-party clients as well as internal functions such as the external audit practice.

As a Senior Consultant some of your responsibilities will include:

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to help support our expanding Valuations team, by assisting the external audit teams with expert reviews of valuations for financial reporting purposes i.e. Purchase Price Allocations, Impairment Tests, Fair Value Reporting by private equity/venture capital funds.
  • Preparing complex financial models as per the industry best practices
  • Conducting thorough valuation and market analyses
  • Organizing and drafting valuation reports and memos
  • Coaching and supervising associates and interns on assignments
  • Working closely with partners, directors and team members on client management and business developing initiatives

Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Consultant? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience performing valuation and financial modelling work
  • Intangible assets as well as complex financial instruments valuation experience would be a plus but not a pre-requisite
  • Bachelor/Master's Degree from a reputable university
  • Professional qualifications e.g an accounting or valuation qualification (CA/CPA/ACA/CMA/ACCA), CFA, MBA, CBV, ASA etc. are preferred
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft office and various audit software
  • Commercially focused with the ability to deliver innovative solutions
  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites
  • Enthusiasm to further develop and learn valuation techniques and methodologies
  • Strong business intelligence and foundation knowledge of latest industry trends
  • Should be proactive with staff and clients and be able to work under pressure to meet client expectations and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation capability
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Arabic will be a plus but not a pre-requisite)
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment
  • Real estate valuation experience would be beneficial but not essential for this role
