We are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Financial and Accounting Manager to manage key responsibilities as outlined below. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience, CPA or equivalent accounting credentials, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage monthly ledger activities, month-end close processes, including bank reconciliations, transfer pricing schedules, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Prepare regular reconciliations of transactions and positions for financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS and German GAAP), tax regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing local audited financial statements, disclosure footnotes, management reports, and other documentation for local audits.
  • Prepare and file regulatory returns, and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities.
  • Handle various tax-related matters with support from Group Tax, including operational support for transfer pricing, income tax and VAT compliance, and tax operational information reporting.
  • Liaise with internal teams (finance, legal, compliance, data) as well as external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting, identifying areas for improvement where possible.
  • Monitor monthly cash flow, advising Treasury on any need for intercompany funding or cash replenishment and assisting with settlements.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller teams with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial accounting and tax, preferably in a regulated industry with exposure to regulatory reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA or local equivalent designation.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with the Workday ledger system is preferred, along with strong proficiency in MS Office applications and adaptability to various business and data systems.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate with remote teams and navigate diverse regional cultures.
  • Experience in a blockchain, fintech, or financial services environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and German.
  • Must be eligible to work in the European Union member states.
