Responsibilities
- Manage daily funding positions and currency gaps for the commercial portfolio by planning and executing intragroup funding and FX swaps, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Minimize excess funds by closely monitoring funding flows and forecasts in collaboration with Business Units.
- Prepare regular management reports, conducting thorough data analysis to highlight key insights and explain underlying business drivers.
- Review and refine the Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) mechanism and parameters to accurately reflect liquidity and regulatory costs in internal pricing.
- Develop strategies to motivate Business Units to achieve targeted balance sheet profiles by balancing funding costs with asset competitiveness.
- Oversee and evaluate the Branch's structural interest rate and liquidity profile to ensure compliance with risk limits and ALCO directives, recommending and implementing appropriate hedging instruments as needed.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reviews while maintaining open communication with stakeholders to understand business needs, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide recommendations to enhance the funding profile (e.g., improving NSFR/LCR) and promote balance sheet efficiency (e.g., NIM, RoRWA).
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to offer insights and recommendations that support financial performance and risk management.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes that could impact funding and liquidity strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, funding, or finance within a banking or financial services context.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, funding strategies, and foreign exchange operations.
- Familiarity with financial market products-loans, deposits, CDs, MTNs, FX, and interest rate swaps.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth data analysis and present findings clearly.
- Proven experience in managing Fund Transfer Pricing mechanisms and understanding regulatory implications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, as well as treasury management systems.
