We have internship opportunities available in the following teams.
  • Competition Economics

In the Competition Economics team, you will work on high-profile cases conducting theoretical and empirical economic analysis. You will, for example, develop economic evidence as to whether a tech firm may have abused its market power, quantify the damage possibly caused by a cartel, or accompany the parties to a merger through the review process in front of the European Commission or other competition authorities.
  • Energy, Environment, Communications, and Infrastructure

The mandates of the EECI team include the design of conveying systems for renewable energy, the development of economically efficient pricing systems for transport infrastructure, the investigation of efficient financing costs as well as structures for infrastructure investments and the creation and critical assessment of economic critical expert reports in lawsuits and arbitration procedures.
  • Transfer Pricing

The Transfer Pricing team works with leading multinational corporations and other clients in determining and implementing value-creating business strategies and economically sound transaction structures. Current focus includes arm's length pricing of cross-border transactions, valuation of business entities and intellectual property, and other business planning and controversy resolutions.

Responsibilities
  • Full collaboration and assistance in different consulting teams
  • Active co-creation of studies, appraisals and presentations, from the conception to the execution of economic analyses up to the documentation of results
  • Research and analysis of company, industry and market data, using statistical tools, if interested
  • Development and application of quantitative models and argumentation streams using your economic knowledge acquired during your studies

Your Profile
  • Very good university degree (at least Bachelor) in economics, finance or a similar discipline
  • Interest in economic topics, especially of microeconomic and/or fiscal nature
  • Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, precise and solution-oriented way of working as well as the ability to quickly become acquainted with unknown issues
  • Distinctive analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English or for the Competition team, fluent Italian.
  • High degree of reliability, sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team and motivation
  • First experience in applied economic research is desirable
  • MS office skills are desirable

We offer an internship of 2 to 12 months with flexible start date and competitive remuneration.
