Interested in working in finance, specifically working with data sets and mathematical formulas, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Quantitative Risk Modelling Summer Internship Program.

You'll get to:
• develop and maintain various models (ex: banking and trading, counterparty credit risk exposure) according to regulatory and business requirements
• develop prototype codes and testing tools that will be used in various productive systems
• collaborate with quantitative analysts to share insights and develop global analysis frameworks
• work closely with cross-functional team members to improve our digital products

Your team

You'll be working in alongside the UBS Quantitative Risk Modelling (QRM) team in Zurich. Our team develops, refines implements and maintains mathematical, statistical and risk model frameworks. As the firm is in the business of risk intermediation, we buy and sell financial risks across the globe and across time.

Your expertise

We're looking for a candidate who:
• is currently enrolled in studies in a numerate (mathematics, econometrics) or technical domain (computer science, quantitative finance, physics) studies and will graduate in late 2025 or 2026
• has gained relevant skills in quantitative analysis and statistical models through courses, projects or work experience and has data analytics and programming skills (i.e., R, Python, SQL, VBA, SAS, Excel knowledge, C++ and Java are a plus)
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
