SVB's Startup Banking team is focused on engaging and building deep and authentic client relationships with pre-Series A founders, clients, prospects and partners. Early-stage constituencies include accelerators, incubators/studios, law firms, universities, industry groups, and early-stage investors.
Responsibilities
This VP1 Startup Banking Relationship Management role is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of early-stage pre-Series A clients, including working with prospects, managing relationships with startup founders, cross-selling bank products and services, managing risk and compliance issues, and coordinating with cross-functional SVB teams to deliver world-class service to clients.
The role is responsible for financial performance and risk management of the portfolio. The role is also responsible for leading engagement with high potential prospects, clients, and ecosystem channel partners.

Qualifications
High School or GED plus 6 years of Banking or Relationship Management experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Banking or Relationship Management experience.

- Domain expertise in technology and the innovation economy
- Possess a strong network in the tech startup ecosystem
- Strong communication, negotiation, marketing and closing skills
- Highly skilled relationship builder with a passion for creating a strong client experience
- Strong understanding of the business trends impacting the startup ecosystem and venture capital
- Ability to manage time and prioritize
