Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in the London office:

FP&A Manager /Project Analyst

We will rely on you to:
  • Provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports, insights, and recommendations.
  • Foster appropriate interaction with the business to help achieve goals such as growth, productivity, and profit improvement.
  • Lead and contribute to finance projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and automation initiatives.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and operational plans, projects, programs, and systems, with a focus on finance and technology solutions.
  • Coordinate the collation of financial information, working with other Finance colleagues, to assist the CFO and team in managing the business unit.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including accurate, timely, and insightful analyses of key projects in the business unit.
  • Ensure the business receives robust KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analysing causes of variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Design and build technology solutions to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes.
  • Create meaningful and impactful presentations using PowerPoint to effectively communicate financial insights, project updates, and strategic recommendations

What you need to have:
  • Qualified accountant with significant experience of working in a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience in presenting financial results and forecasts to senior executives.
  • Experience in running a business budgeting process and conducting client-level analytical challenges.
  • Familiarity with finance change and transformational initiatives, including system implementations and process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a focus on building meaningful presentations.

What makes you stand out:
  • Experience with Oracle Financials or similar tools is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with technology solutions such as PowerBI, data visualization, and automation tools.
  • Experience within financial/professional services firm, particularly a broking firm.
