Financial Controller

Overview:
We seek a qualified Financial Controller to support the Head of Financial Control within their Edinburgh office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk and control frameworks, including experience in establishing, building, and assuring control processes. This role is critical in enhancing our financial governance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust risk and controls framework.
• Build and optimize processes for financial controls and assurance.
• Conduct regular assessments of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on risk and control activities to senior management.
• Support the Head of Financial Control in strategic initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in risk and control frameworks within a financial services environment.
• Background in internal or external audit preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
