Job Description
The ideal Finance Transformation Senior Consultant we are looking for will have a robust background in finance and accounting, with expertise in process improvement and transformation projects. This role will require hands-on creation of control maps, process flows, and implementing best practices to scale our finance organization to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company and enhance finance partnering with the business. It will include :
- Project Management and Execution
- Lead and manage finance transformation projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the company's growth objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement to support scaling efforts and increase finance-business partnerships
- Process Mapping and Analysis
- Develop detailed process flows and control maps to document and analyze current financial processes
- Identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas for improvement to support the scalability of financial operations
- Design and implement streamlined processes that enhance operational efficiency and control effectiveness in a growing environment
- Control Design and Implementation
- Create and implement robust internal control frameworks to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as the organization scales
- Continuously monitor and test controls to ensure their effectiveness and make recommendations for enhancements as necessary
- Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of new processes and controls, ensuring they support organizational growth
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting progress, achievements, and areas needing attention
- Change Management
- Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems across the organization
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams during the transition period, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
The Successful Applicant
The Finance Transformation Senior Consultant will bring the following background and experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance transformation, process improvement, or related roles within a corporate finance environment or consulting firm, with a focus on supporting organizational growth and enhancing finance-business partnerships
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to synthesize complex information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience in leading and hands-on execution of large-scale finance transformation projects aimed at scaling operations and enhancing finance-business partnerships
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for driving continuous improvement in a growing organization
