Job Description

Analyst, Infrastructure

The Analyst will support the european Infrastructure Team's ongoing efforts towards its business objectives by participating to the transaction execution based on the required risk and return and helping with post-investment management of CDPQ's assets in Europe. The Analyst will also assist the Directors in various research and strategic initiatives.

What you will do
  • Active participation in analyzing investment proposals.
  • Develop and review detailed financial models and highlight the key points of the investment thesis, including performing sensitivity analyses, review of financial projections and valuation assumptions.
  • Provide advice on evaluating potential investments using the appropriate methodology (discounted cash flow, multiples, etc.).
  • Conduct an initial detailed verification of investment possibilities.
  • Lead the drafting of authorization documents for new investment possibilities.
  • Assist main collaborators with negotiating trade agreements and shareholding structures.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on portfolio companies.
  • Produce sectoral studies on potential target markets to develop.

What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or engineering
  • Master's in financing, MBA or CFA would be considered an asset
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in investing, corporate finance or investment banking; we are opened to receive applicants with a maximum of three (3) years of experience
  • Solid experience in financial analysis and modelling
  • Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written
