Duration: Six months/internship agreement required (full-time)
Level of degree program completed: Second year of master's degree or equivalent
Internship location: CDPQ Paris, 28-32 Avenue Victor Hugo, 75116 PARIS
What you will do
Based in the CDPQ Paris office and reporting to Finance, the intern will be responsible for assisting all members of the Taxation team, whether they are based in Paris, Montréal or Singapore, with their transactional files, post-investment management or tax compliance issues.

Job Description
INTERNATIONAL TAXATION INTERNSHIP
Internship start date: January 2025

What you will do
Based in the CDPQ Paris office and reporting to Finance, the intern will be responsible for assisting all members of the Taxation team, whether they are based in Paris, Montréal or Singapore, with their transactional files, post-investment management or tax compliance issues.
As part of this highly transactional tax-oriented internship, the tasks assigned to the intern will include:
- Participating in tax reorganizations to support the Director, Taxation in charge (verification of tax assumptions, document review)
- Carrying out technical research (international tax treaties, databases) and writing briefing notes
- Assisting in tax tender processes
- Taking part in the preparation or review of tax documents (tax instalments, tax returns, tax forms, certificates of residence, etc.) with the Taxation team and our tax advisors
- Carrying out legislative and jurisprudence monitoring

What you bring
- Graduate studies in taxation and/or a business school program with a specialization in taxation. The candidate will ideally be in the Projet Pédagogique Individuel (PPI) phase at the École de Formation du Barreau (or equivalent).
- With the working languages (both written and spoken) being French and English, the candidate must be able to work in a bilingual environment.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Professional experience required (previous internships or apprenticeships) in a law firm or in a tax department of a company.
