Candidates need to have experience working / reporting in a global medium-sized or large complex PLC environment. For the right candidate, they may even consider an individual at Part-Qualified level. Lastly, hybrid working is available (3-4 days a week in the office, depending on how busy the team is).

This role is to assist the Group Finance Reporting Manager to prepare and analyse the Group's monthly management accounts, support the budgeting and forecasting processes and prepare the key financial information for the Group's Interim and Annual Report, as well as dealing with the audit of these external results. The role will involve working closely with other finance teams geographically and across business units as well as other support functions.

The hiring manager is looking at this as a development role, so personality, drive and potential are what they are looking for, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow one's skills and experience through this role.

Profile Criteria:
  1. Ideally a Finalist or Newly-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with experience from a mid-size or large PLC environment (with experience in Group Finance)
  2. Group consolidation experience (technical understanding and work experience)
  3. Excellent communication skills and someone who is driven / a self-starter who can work in a busy PLC environment while building effective relationships with stakeholders
  4. Ideally a candidate who is available on a 1-month (or less) notice period but my client will also consider those on a 3-month notice period

Role Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and management reports
  • Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers of performance
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and journals
  • Support the external audit process and ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior management and business units
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
