Revenue Accountant - 12 Month FTC - MMC - London - Hybrid

We have an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Accountant to join our MMC accounting operations team based in London on a 12 Month FTC.

Within this role you will assist with accounting and financial reporting activities for the consulting controllership team with a focus on supporting revenue accounting. Specific responsibilities include raising and distributing invoices, taking ownership of the month end revenue process for specific practice groups, managing the WIP balance, ensuring all work done is invoiced promptly and efficiently and in line with the requests of the business as well as assisting the other members of the revenue team with invoicing, reconciliations and documentation collection as required.

This role could be a great opportunity for a Graduate with an Accounting degree looking for an opportunity to get into a finance role or even someone with previous accounting experience looking to get into a larger corporate role within a Global insurance company.

We will rely on you to:
  • Work with the business to raise and distribute invoices
  • Take ownership of the month end revenue process for specific practice groups, estimating and confirming with the business project level revenues and completing case reviews of project time/expense charges.
  • Manage the WIP balance, ensuring all work done is invoiced promptly and efficiently and in line with the requests of the business.
  • Ensure revenue is fully supported and evidenced in line with controls and procedures.
  • Assist with the development of the finance systems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve current processes and help resolve current issues
  • Manage the aged debt and assist on all other aged debt chasing and cash collections as and where required.
  • Assist the other members of the revenue team with invoicing, reconciliations and documentation collection as required.
  • Assist the Revenue Team with all audit work, including preparing information for the auditors and answering subsequent queries.
  • Collate and analyse balance sheet data to manipulate into a format for quarterly US reporting.
  • Act as the first port of call for partner finance queries.
  • Support the revenue manager with ad hoc projects.

What you need to have:
  • Professional working approach and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task/ good organisational skills.
  • Office experience (not necessarily accountancy based) is preferable.
