How will I help?
This role is part of the Finance Services Expense Management team that will be supporting the Technology Division. Working with a group of professionals this role is accountable for delivering strong financial control through the adherence to policies, processes and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve target outcomes; and build strong relationships with our stakeholders.
You will support the Head of Finance for related Technology Change by providing financial support, advice, and solutions to key stakeholders for the portfolio that you are responsible for.

How will I help?

You will support the Head of Finance for related Technology Change by providing financial support, advice, and solutions to key stakeholders for the portfolio that you are responsible for.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the business performance and financial control services for the projects.
- Lead effective business analysis and advice to the Leadership Teams and other stakeholders in line with the Finance Control Framework to support achievement of project expense targets and forecasts.
- Lead in the active challenge of underlying project assumptions in financial and non-financial forecasts.
- Lead the investment evaluation, financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis support focused on value protection, identifying, and managing risks/opportunities which leads to actionable insights.
- Maintain effective business analysis and advice to the portfolio and programs and other stakeholders in line with the Finance Control Framework.
- Provide commercial insights through analytical review of data and business drivers andperformance.
- Collaborate with the lead Finance Business Partner teams to ensure financial modelling for project business cases are accurate, robust, meet accounting guidelines and comply with the Group's governance and project execution requirements.
- Support the lead Finance Business Partner team in production of timely and accurate ad-hoc financial information and analysis.
- Active collaboration with project managers, project GM/ GM1 sponsors, portfolio directors, project management office (PMO) to optimise the financials of the projects.
- People leadership responsibilities - manage a team, coaching, mentoring, facilitating team meetings, distributing, coordinating and prioritising work for team members of broader Finance Services business unit to meet internal and external deadlines.

What do I need?
- 10+ years experience in financial management and the financial services industry
- Professional accounting qualification completed - ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent
- People leadership and mentoring
- Ability to effectively influence, negotiate and manage expectations at a senior management level
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining productive relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - being able to clearly extract and simply articulate key messages out of detailed information
- Strong commercial acumen
- Thorough understanding of all technical finance & accounting competencies
- Experience supporting large and diverse cost base
- Project execution (including Agile) and Technology experience an advantage.
