Senior Manager, ESG Advisory

• Critical role in uplifting our Climate and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) capabilities across our Business & Wealth Division.
• Full-time Permanent Opportunity - Hybrid Working Model.
• Location - Open to interest from candidate in Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane locations.
• Open to candidates at either the Senior Manager or Manager level.

How will I help?

This Senior Manager role is part of the ESG team within the Business & Wealth division. We've established a clear and ambitious plan for uplift of our Climate and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) capabilities across the Group - including specific initiatives focussed on the development of new targets, tools and processes, encompassing climate, environmental and social risk. This specialist advisory roles will work within the business to support staff and customers understand these risks and manage in-line with the Group's Sustainability Position Statements and policies.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reviewing clients and transactions to provide specialist ESG advice to internal stakeholders on risks and thematic issues.
• Support the design and development of new processes, working with front-line bankers and credit managers to deliver meaningful impact around how we approach ESG Risk.
• Engaging and building strong relationships with bankers, customers, industry groups and other stakeholders to drive insights and key deliverables.

What do I need?

• Significant (8+ years) experience working in an environmental or social context either within the financial services sector, or other relevant industry (e.g. mining, construction, etc.)
• Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or management, or qualifications relating to social risk (e.g. Bachelor of Environmental Management).
• Demonstrable experience in the application of innovative thought leadership in the delivery of specialised services.
• Demonstrable experience in managing complex stakeholder environments and influencing change.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, attention to detail, and analytical thinking, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
