We are partnered with a leading estate agency looking to hire a qualified accountant for their team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work on one of the company's biggest clients and be in charge of the reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for their properties, while supervising and mentoring a small team of part-qualified accountants.

We are partnered with a leading estate agency looking to hire a qualified accountant for their team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work on one of the company's biggest clients and be in charge of the reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for their properties, while supervising and mentoring a small team of part-qualified accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team responsible for managing the client's accounting systems, banking, cash books, and AP/AR
- Prepare month-end financial reports for the client
- Prepare budgets and forecasts covering all income and expense streams, liaising with internal and external teams
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed by the client
- Collaborate with colleagues on other accounts to maintain continuous client coverage
- Promote and implement best practices throughout the client accounting department.
- Assist management teams by delivering financial advice and reports to clients, attending meetings with senior-level stakeholders.
- Work with the Head of Accounting to support tenders and the setup of new contracts, with a focus on financial reporting needs.
- Work closely with the client accounting team and business analysts to ensure processes, reports, and analyses meet the client's expectations and requirements
Key skills required:
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualification
- Extensive experience in property accounting including budgeting, forecasting
- Team management experience
- Ability to manage stakeholders and other third parties
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise tasks
