1. Financial Strategy Development: Creating and implementing a financial strategy aligned with the school's goals.
2. Audit Preparation: Preparing for termly audits to ensure compliance and accountability.
3. Payroll and Pensions Management: Overseeing payroll processes and pension schemes.
4. Team Management: Line managing two finance officers, including support and guidance.
5. Governance Reporting: Reporting to governors on financial utilization, ensuring transparency.
6. Payment Reconciliation: Reconciling all payments to suppliers and managing ad-hoc payments.
7. Cash Flow Management: Conducting weekly cash flow analysis to maintain financial stability.
8. Monthly Management Accounts: Producing and reviewing monthly management accounts.
9. Oversight of Key Functions: Overseeing additional financial functions as needed.

Qualifications and Person Specifications
1. Must have experience in Primary or secondary Education Finance: Sound experience working with an academy or similar educational institution.
2. Accounting Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
3. Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards relevant to education.
4. Team Leadership: Ability to manage and mentor finance team members.
5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Sage.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Workload Management: Capability to handle a high workload and meet deadlines effectively.
8. Energetic and Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who can work independently and prioritize tasks.
