Key Responsibilities

Accounting:
  • Manage accounting and general ledger activities
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivables o Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP guidelines
  • Oversee and manage the Company's external accounting resources (e.g., outsourced bookkeeping) o Understand and manage cash flow needs of the Company
  • Continually assess and make recommendations for improvement of the effectiveness of the accounting processes
  • Assess new U.S. GAAP accounting standard for Company relevance and impact

Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting for investors, including three financial statements and investment schedules
  • Act as the Company's investor point of contact for accounting and financial statement-related questions
  • Implement quarterly and annual budgeting process

Cap Table and Investor Account Management:
  • Oversee quarterly preparation of investor capital account statements
  • Maintain accurate capitalization table of Company
  • Document and organize all investor and subscription agreements

Audit and Compliance:
  • Oversee and coordinate annual U.S. GAAP financial audit
  • Maintain relationships with the Company's external auditors and regulatory agencies
  • Document, implement and maintain internal control structure
  • Work with IT partners to ensure strong systems required for robust internal controls
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and regulatory compliance with multiple legal entities

Tax:
  • Oversee and manage the Company's external tax advisors (e.g., outsourced CPA/tax preparation team)
  • Oversee annual tax reporting requirements
  • Manage and comply with local, state and federal tax filings


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting (or related degree)
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of GAAP accounting experience
  • Proficient in general ledger transactions and financial statement preparation
  • Firm understanding of accounting rules for investments under U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and accompanying footnotes and disclosures
  • Experience in working directly with independent auditors
