Interim Head of Treasury - UK Regulated Payments Company, London

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Treasury to join a fast-growing, UK-regulated payments company based in London. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company's treasury function, ensuring optimal liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and risk management during a key phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liquidity Management: Oversee daily liquidity and cash flow management to ensure the company meets its operational and regulatory obligations.
  • Treasury Operations: Lead the treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, payment processing, and working capital management.
  • Risk Management: Manage financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and liquidity risks, ensuring robust controls and processes are in place.
  • Banking Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions to optimize financing and funding strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with FCA regulations related to treasury and financial risk management.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the CFO, highlighting key treasury metrics and strategic recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the treasury team, ensuring efficient processes and continuous improvement in treasury operations.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in treasury management within a financial services or payments company.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
    (MBA, CFA, or relevant professional qualifications preferred).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and liquidity requirements in the UK.
  • Expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial risk management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, especially when working with external financial partners.
