Underwriting Manager - International Casualty

We are partnering with a global insurer to find an Underwriting Manager to manage a Casualty Underwriting Team that provides Employers' and General Liability, and Environmental Impairment Liability to a diverse global client base. This role manages the underwriting operations and acts as a senior contact for insureds and brokers. Successful candidates will be driving business development and client retention and maintaining visibility to reinforce the brand through regular client / broker visits. The role will also develop and maintain underwriting procedures, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations. You will facilitate and contribute to technical committees and expert groups, review and update underwriting guidelines to reflect best practices and regulatory changes and conduct underwriting file reviews to analyse data and identify risk areas. Other duties will include product development and staying current on industry trends, preparing reports on underwriting performance and risk management. The role assists with portfolio management and support senior management as needed, by leading and developing a team of underwriters, and underwriting complex UK/Global accounts.
