Strategy and M&A Senior Analyst - Madrid

Hybrid: 4 days a week in the office, 1 day working from home
About the Job:

The Strategy team sets the direction for the company across different markets and industries. As a Strategy and M&A analyst, you will immerse yourself in market research to uncover areas for growth. Your role includes modelling financial scenarios, working on business cases, and supporting on M&A activities from idea generation to deal execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in shaping and executing the strategic direction for Ebury.
  • Perform deep market analysis, summarise insights and learnings
  • Conduct financial modelling to evaluate and advise on potential investments.
  • Contribute to the M&A lifecycle, from sourcing to valuation and due diligence
  • Assist in monitoring strategic initiatives through KPI tracking.
Background & Competencies:
  • Solid 4-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, VC and/or strategy consulting with an emphasis on M&A and financial analysis.
  • Experience within Fintech is a must.
  • Experience with valuation of acquisitions according to IFRS3
  • Proven ability to conduct financial modelling and analysis.
  • Understanding of market dynamics, valuation, and industry trends.
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to convey complex information simply.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
