IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Associate Accountant in our Raleigh, North Carolina headquarters.
This role works a hybrid schedule which reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.
This role will be tasked with corporate accounting responsibilities as defined below.

Responsibilities:
- Manual Daily Bank Reconciliations
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations with Certifications
- Monthly Treasury related Account Reconciliations with Certifications
- Premium Receivable Account Reconciliations with Certifications
- Sales Tax Payable
- Accounts Payable back-up
- Cash Deposits back-up
- Record monthly journal entries for Insurance/Treasury related activity
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- Equivalent is defined as Associates Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Insurance or Banking industry experience preferred.
- General knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Problem solver.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated leadership, professionalism, organization, and time management.
- Conceptual understanding of ERP systems (Workday)
