Corporate Bankers are relationship-focused finance professionals responsible for understanding the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients around the world. Corporate Bankers drive the client dialogue on cash management, capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions. Unique to Citi, Corporate Bankers are also responsible for credit allocation as well as relationship management. Corporate Bankers work in partnership with various Citi groups across the firm including Risk Management, Investment Banking, and the Capital Markets Origination. Our Internship is designed to help you increase your knowledge, so whatever your degree is in we will give you the training and support you need to excel. We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. This will be aligned to the FIG team.

We're committed to teaching you the ropes. During the 6 months internship, you will be placed with a Corporate Banking team to work with for the duration of the Program. Top-performing Intern Analysts will return to Citi after graduation to work as a full-time Analyst. Your time here will look something like this...

As an Intern, main tasks involve:

• Credit Analysis:

- Financial and operational analysis, including historical and projected performance of the clients

- Preparation of materials for Risk and Business approval committees: credit memos for annual reviews and episodic transactions (e.g. M&A, DCM, ECM, project finance, etc.)

• Bank's credit exposure and capital management:

- Gather data through various Citi's systems in order (1) to monitor bank's exposure and profitability with its client, as well as (2) to produce concise analysis for the team

• Assistance in client relationship development and business origination:

- Research and presentation of potential relationship development in the field of numerous Citi's products (e.g. IB, Capital Markets Origination, Treasury and Trade Services, Markets, etc.)

- Development of the banking relationship across Citi geographical network

- Support Bankers on ad hoc pitches (acquisition financing, capital market transactions...)

We want to hear from you if...

• You are available to start on January 2025

• You are currently enrolled in a University that can provide an internship agreement

• You a student status and related visa covering the whole internship period

• You have very good knowledge of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets

• You are fluent in English both written and oral (working language). Good level in French is recommended and additional languages beneficial but not essential

• You have advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
