Major Duties :1. Establishes hiring needs with line managers and determines position requirements.

2. Advertises jobs through newspaper, internal on-line posting and job fairs.

3. Advises managers on the best sources for hiring.

4. Reviews and sorts internal and external resumes.

5. Pre-screens entry level candidates, through face-to-face and telephone interviews.

6. Schedules interviews.

7. Presents Northern Trust as an employer of choice.

8. Communicates Northern¿s hiring policies, practices and procedures.

9. Provides service center with new hire information for employee orientation.

10. Reviews sources of candidate data (tests, interviews assessments) and makes hiring recommendations to managers.

11. Ensures that all hiring documentation is complete and meets compliance requirements.

12. Communicates job duties and responsibilities, compensation, work schedules, and working conditions to applicants.

13. Maintains recruiting reports and applicant tracking database.

14. Runs reports for hiring managers and may run complex reports and undertake analysis of recruitment statistics.

Knowledge :Knowledgeable of the core aspects of the job. Can work effectively as a team member and independently. Requires good communication, presentation, research and analytical skills. Has good consulting, client servicing and influencing skills and ability to build relationships with line managers.

Experience :2 or more years of directly related experience
