I'm Baptiste YLONEN, and my client, a well-established Advisory Firm, is looking for an Associate Accountant, French speaking. They are based in Central London, near Bank.
The Senior Associate's main responsibilities and duties include :
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients using Sage 50 & Quickbooks
* Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures including reconciliation of ledger accounts.
* Produce financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
* Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and corporation tax returns.
* Preparing and submitting HMRC related returns including monthly PAYE/NI and quarterly VAT returns.
* Processing client payrolls including addressing general payroll queries, pension submissions and related matters.
* Providing administrative support and performing any other ad-hoc duties as required.
* Serving as the key contact between the company and clients, effectively addressing client queries, ensuring timely communication, building strong relationships, coordinating with team members, anticipating needs, and maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence and reliability.
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper with strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping role within UK companies.
* AAT L4 Qualification or similar with a desire to continue ACCA studies.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client portfolios.
* Strong proficiency in the use of Sage 50, Microsoft Office tools, and QuickBooks
* French language skills
