Job Description

The Senior Manager, NA Ops & IT Finance Optimization at Chubb will be responsible for leading the process and technology transformation of the NA Operations & Technology Finance team. This includes conducting operational assessments, managing projects, gathering requirements, and contributing to strategic initiatives.

They will also be involved in financial close, forecasting, and annual planning processes. Collaboration with enterprise-wide initiatives is a key aspect of this role. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, a deep understanding of processes, and a desire for continuous learning are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Attain an expert-level understanding of finance team processes and deliverables in support of Global Operations and IT groups.
  • Produce deliverables and meets all customer needs as part of financial close, forecast, and planning processes.
  • Lead projects, ensuring deadlines are met, while mitigating and escalating identified risks
  • Align initiative plans with the business plan, including calculation and tracking of investment and benefit values.
  • Develop and thoroughly document business requirements in consultation with Project leads, IT, Global Ops & Finance stakeholders for a variety of process improvements and transformation initiatives.
  • Document defects, understand root cause and ensure adequate solutions are developed and implemented to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

Technical Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major or related field preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5-8 years of FP&A experience with a large public company
  • 2 years of Project Management and/or top-tier consulting experience
  • Proficiency in end-user applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience documenting workflows in MS Visio
  • Experience with Alteryx or Power BI
  • Experience with Workiva or similar automated reporting tool.
  • Experience with Qlik or Apptio strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
