AVP, Global Ops & IT Finance Execution

JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Transformation, Technology and Operations Organization is comprised of over 10,000 employees and has an annual spend of approximately $2,0 billion with investments annually of $525 million. The Finance organization is responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, supporting execution of many key deliverables including process improvement in Finance on a global basis.

The AVP of Global Ops & IT Finance Execution plays a critical role in streamlining data and updates for Executive Management/Sponsor consumption. This position is responsible for providing a consistent view of all key activities for all workstreams/projects/initiatives through a weekly report and meeting touch points. The AVP will also build, develop, and monitor Governance activities and required processes, including standardization across the Transformation, Tech and Ops processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes for financial and operational data and updates, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for Executive Management/Sponsor consumption.
  • Create and maintain a weekly report and meeting touch point to provide a consistent and comprehensive view of key activities for all workstreams, projects, and initiatives.
  • Enhance Governance activities and materials by standardizing documentation and streamlining processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain standardized reporting, metrics, and dashboards to track the progress and performance of workstreams, projects, and initiatives.
  • Act as the central point of contact and liaison, fostering effective communication and collaboration among workstream leaders and providing cross-functional support as needed.
  • Develop a logical monthly governance schedule, proactively planning and coordinating meetings in advance to ensure the availability of all stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support in structuring and conducting Governance meetings, promoting effective participation and decision-making.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of smaller projects and initiatives in collaboration with workstream leaders, offering support and guidance throughout the process.
  • Create and manage a centralized document repository to house all governance decks and critical artifacts.

Qualifications

Technical Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully executing global operations and IT finance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations and IT finance principles.
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivering results within established timeframes.
  • Experience in streamlining processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with advanced knowledge of reporting tools and metrics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with executive management and stakeholders from various departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology and software applications relevant to finance and IT operations.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
