Chubb is looking to hire a strategic thinker with strong business acumen to join the Personal Risk Services (PRS) Division Finance team. The PRS Division Finance team supports the leadership team in executing on business initiatives which generate over $6B in GWP. This position will support several components of the PRS financials including expenses and production and will be responsible for proving clear and concise communication of business and financial results to PRS and North American leadership a regular basis.
Critical factors for success include delivering results while maintaining a detailed focus on individual tasks, ability to take ownership and meet deadlines, effectively building relationships and influencing others, identifying issues and sound recommendations for remediation, exhibiting a genuine willingness and desire to continuously build on insurance and product knowledge, and the ability to thrive in fast paced environment.
Job Summary:
This is a hands-on and diverse accounting and finance position within Personal Risk Services that is responsible for supporting the finance, operational and strategic needs of the business. This pivotal role includes performing planning and forecasting activities, assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, and providing clear and accurate reporting to management (divisional and corporate) on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Critical qualities to succeed include the ability to take ownership of deliverables and meet deadlines, identify issues and recommend remediation plans, manage projects, develop strong relationships with business partners, as well as the willingness/desire to continuously build and improve on insurance knowledge.

Job Description:
This role is focused on providing the PRS senior leadership team with accurate and timely financial information so that informed business decisions can be made. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze monthly, quarterly and YTD financial results & P&L for completeness and accuracy. Identify trends in weekly/monthly production numbers.
- Compile and analyze key performance indicators on various areas of the business and determine the impact on forecasting Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions and Expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of 2 P&L forecasts per quarter projecting current and future quarter results.
- Research and document unusual activity, trends or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of the findings.
- Assist in the Strategic and Annual Plan process to create production plans by geography and line of business.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external business partners.
- Partner with PRS leadership to assist in meeting their business goals.
- Proactively identify opportunities to introduce process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Prepare impactful presentation materials for senior management meetings.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 2+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience at large public company or Big 4 auditing firm
- Insurance knowledge is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience with General Ledger Systems such as Peoplesoft
Other Required Skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to work effectively and independently with other disciplines and all levels of management/staff throughout the organization.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong analytical skills including the use of various internal system applications to gather and analyze data.
- Ability to problem solve and work autonomously, manage multiple projects and people, and prioritize appropriately.
