Role Summary:

T. Rowe Price is seeking an experienced Senior Equity Researcher to join its Integrated Equity (IE) team. The IE team combines both quantitative and fundamental insights across a comprehensive range of strategies to deliver alpha for our clients. We are looking for a driven investor and researcher who is passionate about blending quantitative and fundamental approaches.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the investment process and developing new alpha-generating signals. Research topics will include identifying new factors for the stock selection model, optimizing the interaction between the model and our fundamental research insights, and uncovering tactical market opportunities. Additionally, this role will focus on advancing our portfolio construction methodologies and refining risk analytics to support the broader T. Rowe Price equity organization.

Responsibilities:

As a senior team member, this role will primarily focus on the following responsibilities:

  • Driving investment performance through the generation, research, and implementation of new ideas
  • Providing insights into current market opportunities and portfolio positioning
  • Enhancing portfolio construction, risk monitoring, and performance analytics platforms
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior quantitative researchers
  • Bridging the gap between the systematic and fundamental aspects of the investment process
  • Representing products to both internal stakeholders and external clients

Qualifications:

Required

  • Strong academic credentials: A bachelor’s degree is required, with a graduate degree preferred.
  • Extensive investment experience: At least 7+ years of experience in investment, with deep expertise in quantitative alpha research, modeling, portfolio construction, optimization, and risk management.

Preferred

  • Collaborative mindset: A strong team-oriented approach with the ability to cultivate effective relationships both internationally and externally.
  • Holistic investment framework: A passion for investment processes that integrate quantitative methodologies with fundamental insights. Success in this role requires the ability to collaborate with fundamental investment colleagues on thematic or stock-level decisions.
  • Cross-functional engagement: Capable of working alongside both quantitative and fundamental researchers to generate new investment ideas and insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Able to clearly explain complex investment strategies and products. Experience preparing and presenting portfolio reviews to external clients and participating in consultant due diligence meetings is essential.
  • CFA designation preferred

FINRA Requirements 

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility 

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and All other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
