Major Duties:
- Facilitates the compliance review exercise by producing detailed reviews of BCPs as per schedule
- Builds expertise on the standards and the tools used in the review process
- Provides 2nd line insight on the level of compliance, identify gaps and put forward recommendations to bring the status back to compliance and ultimately mitigate risks
- Tracks review completion for reporting purposes and ensure reviews are adequately documented
- Contributes to the development of policies, procedures and business practices in support of various risk programs
- Researches and develops analytical reports and solutions for issues being addressed by the department
- Participates in training partners and delivering communications on applicable risk/compliance standards/ regulations and tools
- Responds to internal and external inquiries and requests for information.
- Supports incident command, awareness and other risk initiatives, as required
- Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent
- Impacts own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related; suggests improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team
- Familiar with various tools (e.g. SharePoint, MS tools, etc.)
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness when faced with constraints
- Good communication skills and can do work attitude
- Requires advanced or specialized skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures and systems
- Understands how related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve objectives
- Exchanged ideas and information effectively with others outside of own team and evaluates and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a clear manner
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree
- Minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in business continuity although this is not required
- As a specialist or lead for the team, may allocate work and provide subject matter guidance to team members with less experience
