Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
This position will have a strong focus on reviewing small business and retail credit exposures as well as supporting data gathering, management, and analysis of those portfolios.
This position conducts an independent review of the Bank's commercial, business, and consumer loan portfolios. Assesses portfolios for credit quality, documentation accuracy, and policy compliance. Analyzes financial data to determine ongoing creditworthiness and classifies loans according to risk. Serves as a senior advisor to management on identified issues, assisting in initiatives to resolve discrepancies and manage risk. May occasionally guide less experienced associates in the work group.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Administration OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Administration
License or Certification Type: Credit Risk Certification (CRC) Preferred
Skills Required: Knowledge of accounting and finance principles, Knowledge of current laws and regulations, loan documentation, and Bank policy
Preferred: Experience reviewing Business and Commercial portfolios at a Large Financial Institution
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze portfolio trends, identify leading/lagging indicators or other signs of changing risk levels and/or process breakdowns. Ability to use analytics applications and data visualization tools to achieve business objectives.

The base pay for this position is generally between $110,000 and $175,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.

Responsibilities
- Portfolio Review - Performs an advanced analytical review of selected loan relationships. Verifies quality of supporting documentation, updating and categorizing according to status changes in the portfolio. Identifies any servicing deficiencies, policy violations, or credit risks.
- Credit Control - Determines sample of credits for analysis with focus on risk trends. Maintains accurate credit scores by interpreting data from tax returns and financial statements. Periodically evaluates and approves action plans.
- Risk Mitigation - Responsible for managing potential losses and exposures identified during portfolio assessment. Assists in developing and implementing credit risk strategies or solutions. Approves or declines grade change requests from the field based on appropriate risk migration.
- Reporting - Produces reports based on the results of portfolio assessment. Conveys patterns, deficiencies, and other areas of concern or review. Ensures that reports are complete and accurate. Documents policy or regulation exceptions.
