The Healthcare Real Estate and Asset Based Lending ("ABL") team provides comprehensive banking solutions to owner and operators of Senior Housing and Skilled Nursing Facilities for various financing needs, including acquisitions, refinancings, construction and recapitalizations. Summer Analysts will support the Underwriting and Portfolio teams in analyzing and underwriting new and existing real estate and ABL transactions, gaining exposure to all elements of deal execution, including:
  • Initial due diligence and development of Investment Thesis
  • Thorough and thoughtful risk mitigation
  • Detailed financial analysis on historical financial and census trends
  • Analysis of real estate appraisals and ABL field exams
  • Legal negotiations and documentation
  • Post-closing monitoring of credit performance

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
  • Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.
  • Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
  • Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in many aspects of credit underwriting and portfolio management, including company and industry due diligence, financial analysis, credit memo preparation and portfolio management activities.
  • Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls, as appropriate.

Internship Dates: 5/28/2025 - 8/01/2025

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 3.3 minimum GPA
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major/concentration in finance, accounting, or economics
  • Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.

The base pay for this position is generally between $22.44 and $34.32. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
