Mandarin fluent Compliance Specialist/Manager for a company specialising in mortgage funds and real estate Your new company
Fintech Financial Services in Sydney operates mortgage funds, real estate finance, asset allocation and financial consulting that combine their investment experience and competitive advantages across APAC and Australia to maximise their client's access to high-quality investment opportunities including retail, commercial, office, land etc.
Your new role
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist.
Key responsibilities include:
Regulatory Compliance:• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards and be across regulatory change such as ASIC
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• AFSL compliance
Legal Documentation:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including investment agreements, shareholder agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Ensure all legal documents are compliant with relevant laws and regulations and align with the company's policies and objectives.
Transaction Support:
• Provide legal support during all stages, including due diligence, structuring, drafting, and negotiation.
• Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the company's operations and transactions.
• Provide advice and support on risk management strategies.
Corporate Governance:
• Assist in corporate governance matters, including preparing board resolutions, meeting minutes, and other corporate documents.
• Ensure proper maintenance of corporate records and filings.
Dispute Resolution:
• Manage and resolve disputes by working with external counsel as necessary.
• Provide legal support in handling claims, investigations, and regulatory enquiries.
Training and Development:
• Conduct training sessions for staff on relevant legal and compliance topics.
What you'll need to succeed
• Tertiary qualification e.g Finance, Commerce, Law, Accounting
• Fluent in Mandarin and English languages
• Proven Compliance or Legal experience in financial services or consultancy
• Excellent organisation skills and someone proactive
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• At least two years full-time work rights in Australia given this is a permanent role
