As a the Senior Procurement Category Manager at Cbus, you will lead procurement activities and build strong partnerships with our suppliers and business units. You'll be the strategic face of Cbus to the supply base and the key contact point for suppliers. Your role is to ensure that the business gets the best value while maintaining solid relationships and compliance with regulatory requirements.
You'll work across various categories, including Indirects, Professional Services, Marketing, ICT, and Facilities Management, taking full ownership of the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process. You'll also have the opportunity to influence and shape the future of the Procurement function across Cbus, contributing to ongoing improvements and efficiencies.

What You'll Do:
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver sourcing and procurement projects
- Act as the key Procurement Business Partner for selected business units
- Develop and implement procurement pipelines and category strategies
- Prepare and manage procurement documentation, including sourcing strategies, negotiation plans, and approval papers
- Manage supplier relationships, ensure contract compliance, and provide training to internal stakeholders
- Lead negotiations and collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to draft agreements
- Support procurement improvement initiatives and help drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term cost-saving through strategic procurement
- Qualifications in business, finance, or supply chain
- 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with expertise in end-to-end procurement and category management
- Experience across corporate categories like Indirects, Professional Services, Marketing, ICT, and Facilities Management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and analytical mindset
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements from APRA and ASIC
- A proactive, positive attitude toward process improvement and delivering commercial outcomes
