  • Lead and Manage Local Ops Team
  • Support local business growth.
  • Lead and support major strategic initiatives/ projects including:
    • Functional architecture and front to back operational review.
    • Regionalisation of Ops support
    • Cleared and non cleared OTC
    • FATCA/CRS
  • Oversee daily Operations and controls:
    • Ensure robust and coherent front to back operational workflows with Truste (Fund Admin/Custody..)
    • Develop and reinforce monitoring of daily production and oversight with KPIs.
    • Ensure each area of Operations is managed in a controlled, documented and supervised manner in compliance with respective regulations, AXA IM's policies/ standards/procedures/ governance
    • Ensure service and support provided are in-line with AXA IM's and global Operations strategy
    • Maintain strong risk control focus and escalate potential incidents in-line with AXA IM standards
    • Close audit points in timelines agreed with the audit team
  • Further improve quality of service and enhance the client centricity:
    • Agree priorities with internal clients (Investment expertises and Client Group) and provide regular feedback on status and achievements
    • Ensure and maintain monthly Operations Quality of Standard Dashboard.
  • Manage relaionship with local 3 rd party service providers:
    • Manage and negotiations for any new service for local business development
    • Comply with the budget with a specific focus on costs (control of metrics, forecasts)
    • Manage governance (regular and efficient service reviews)
    • Design, plan and perform/and or contribute to the Operations yearly Due dilligence program
  • Participate to local Governance
    • Participate to Local Control Committee, Japan Product committee
    • Deliver Operations Dashboard
    • Ensure proper submission / challenge of resource requests in respective committees
Your Profile

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in finance, financial engineering or other relevant quantitative field preferred
Experience/ Skills
  • 10-15 years in Asset Management or Investment Bank within control or support functions.
  • Significant experience in the operations of an asset management organisation with good background of the front to back operational workflows and ITM rules.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage change and transformation
  • A team player with good communication and presentation skills
  • Client-oriented mind set with flexible approach and high proactiveness
Key Competencies
  • Strong understanding of the asset management Middle Office functions with high background on market OTC Derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of the regulations/controls applicable to the operations of an asset manager
  • Proactively interact with the Funds Managers, middle office, Accounting, Change management and others external entities to work on various topics
  • Demonstrate confidence in discussing complex issues and resolving complex products queries using pragmatic approach
  • High sense of ownership with the ability to multi-task and support the team
  • Proven ability to design, improve and implement operational processes
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate and manage third party relationships
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
