Finance - GM Finance Department
Hang Seng's Finance function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and global markets finance.
As a publicly listed Bank in HK as well as a subsidiary of the HSBC Group, the Bank is governed by the compliance and disclosure of financial reporting requirement from various regulators. It is important for Financial Control to implement, manage and enforce appropriate operational risk management through the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework appropriately to monitor and mitigate those risk.
Global Markets Finance Department ("TFC") is a business finance function supporting and controlling Global Markets activities, under product control, reporting and control sections.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as GM Finance Reporting Manager.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as GM Finance Reporting Manager.
Principal responsibilities
- Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of various reporting to front office and Group in terms of the GB&M requirements.
- Participate in daily trader PL reconciliation and signoff control process
- Participate in product/system due diligence process and test new products or systems to be launched.
- Contribute to the profitability of the GM and the Bank by ensuring a robust control environment is in place for hedge accounting according to FIM or other requirements.
- Assist in establishing PL attribution process, Balance sheet substantiation and accounting procedures for global markets products
- Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and controls, loss identification and reporting by observing the relevant policies and guidelines issued by the Bank and Group.
- University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline with recognized professional qualifications in accountancy and/or TMA membership
- Experience in banking or similar experience in auditing of financial institutions in big 4 auditing firms
- Good knowledge and practical experience in accounting, product control, business finance
- Excellent presentation, communication (in written and oral English and Chinese) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative solutions
- Ability to work under pressure, with strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
