The Senior Managing Director Accounting Systems and Transformation is responsible for leading our automation efforts and improving analytic capabilities in the accounting function. This position works with key stakeholders to identify and implement operational efficiencies in the accounting function by improving or eliminating processes, implementing technology, and ensuring proper controls are in place. This role will drive efficiencies in existing and new activities to enable better analytic contributions to the business. The SMD of Accounting Systems and Transformation is a strategic individual who will partner with functional heads to provide strategic design, process, control, and capabilities to shape our future. The role will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Education, Experience and Skills
The estimated salary range for this position is $205,000 USD to $230,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.

Key Responsibilities
The SMD Accounting Systems and Transformation is responsible for the vision, implementation, and enhancement of Accounting and Finance systems and processes
- This role collaborates across teams to working closely with IT and Accounting and Finance to research and recommend software solutions that drive accurate accounting and financial reporting
- Drive best practices and transformative projects to elevate the organization's accounting and financial systems infrastructure
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Accounting and Finance systems in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Lead a team in managing the integrity, security, and compliance of financial data across all Accounting and Finance platforms
- Partner with various lines-of-defense and compliance teams to ensure adherence with regulatory requirements and to internal controls related to financial systems and data management
- Collaborate with IT professionals and other cross functional stakeholders to address technical challenges, resolve system issues, and optimize system performance
- Manage cross-functional projects to enhance system capabilities, streamline workflows, and improve the accuracy and accessibility of data
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements by remaining current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
- Identify opportunities to utilize technology and tools to enable process efficiency.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
- Drive transformation agenda
- Deliver multi-year transformation plan to achieve step-change improvements in operational efficiency and control
- Assist in the preparation of memos and presentations for senior leadership review
- Review and recommend SOWs and cost estimates
- Perform frequent and complex ad hoc analytical assignments
- Foster an environment of high collaboration with constituents
- Assist with due diligence activities in support of various business development initiatives
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance
- At least ten (10) years of relevant experience , Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Finance software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong motivational and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong IT background (Windows, UNIX, SQL server/ Oracle database, etc.), Ideally, experience within business controller group, providing support to key financial accounting and control processes
