Our Vacationer Program
As a William Buck Vacationer, you will experiencefirst-hand how your university studies translate into a career path. Ourprogram will give you a taste what you can expect as a professional within anaccounting and advisory firm by being involved in real-world work and projects,learning as much as possible and leaving our program excited about the future.
What does the William Buck Vacationer Program offer?
• 5+ weeks on-the-job and structured learning opportunities.
• An insight into daily life at a mid-tier firm, our clients and our people.
• Support from day one with a dedicated buddy and manager.
• Exposure to a wide range of client engagements.
• Social events and networking opportunities - it's not all work!
• The first chance at being offered a Graduate position starting the followingyear.
Our Opportunities
Opportunities are available in the following divisions:
Business Advisory
Our Business Advisory accountants provide a wide range of compliance andadvisory services. Business Advisory includes strategic business advice,financial statements, tax returns, budgeting and cash flow forecasting and taxplanning.
• Requires studying a degree in Commerce or Business with a major inAccounting.
Audit & Assurance
Our Auditors conduct internal and external audits for our clients. Auditincludes risk management, financial reporting, IT assurance and independenceservices.
• Requires studying a degree in Commerce or Business with a major inAccounting.
Tax Services
Our Tax specialists are the go-to division for all complex tax queries. TaxServices includes corporate and international tax, ATO audits, transactionaland remuneration tax.
• Requires studying a degree in Commerce or Business with a major inAccounting. A double degree in Commerce/Law will be highly regarded.
R&D Tax Incentives and Grants
Our R&D specialists assist clients with identifying and accessinggovernment and industry funding opportunities, including the R&D TaxIncentive program and major grant funding programs such as the Export MarketDevelopment Grant.
• Requires studying a double degree in Commerce and STEM.
Wealth Advisory
Our Wealth Advisory division offers a holistic approach to personal wealth.Wealth Advisory includes estate and trust administration, wealth creation,investment strategies and succession planning.
• Requires studying a degree in Commerce or Business with a major in FinancialPlanning, Finance or Accounting
Corporate Finance
Our Corporate Finance division assists clients with mergers, acquisitions,valuations and due diligence.
• Requires studying a degree in Finance
Restructuring and Insolvency
Our Restructuring and Insolvency team bring their expertise to assist intimes of financial distress and achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders.
• Requires studying a degree in Commerce or Business with a major in accounting

• Eagerness to learn as much as possible and annoy our managers with endlessquestions!
• A genuine interest in a career within accounting and advisory.
• A positive outlook and a willingness to make the most out of each day.
• Be studying a relevant degree for your chosendivision as listed below.
• Be in your penultimate year of study.
